    HI all
Filter support ,a stock tin/ steel pan does not have a filter support from memory or does it ???

    Whats the go....

Must be a deep pan .How much deeper??

See there is a filter extension included. There are ribs on the bottom of the pan filter supports???

Standard shallow pan filter sits basically on the pan, it cant really dislodge.
You will see marks where the filter rubs on the inside of the pan, sometimes the filter bolt will also leave a mark if the pan is damaged at all.

Basically the same with the factory deep pan. Spacer is used on the filter bolt and the pick up tube is longer. It also has the fingers to stop it from rotating.

Both factory type pans have dimples to prevent filter from moving too far.

    Aftermarket is a different story.....
