    Default Trimatic help please

I am in the process of swapping transmissions in my WB 1 tonner. The original trans has an electrical switch bolted on the rear which has a single wire that attaches.
The replacement trans does not have this switch or anywhere to mount it. What does the switch do and can I run without it?

Part of pollution control, switch provides a ground in top gear.
If you have the wire in you harness just ground it to the trans or chassis, don't worry about the switch.
    They generally just leak anyway.
