    Hi
Looking for different brands of head gasket similar in construction to high performance felpro ""paper"" style.
specifically to suit 400 chev std bore [4.125] eg 4.135 gasket

I didnt find anything in 4.135, you'll need closer to 4.2 for a better selection..

Chevrolet Performance make some, SCE have some... If you want something close to actual bore size then an MLS Multi Layer Shim is the way to go...

    Hi
Trying to get 4.125--4.140 gskt hole for eg std cyl bore 4.125
    Sce none
    felpro none
    eldelbrock none
cometic MLS only could not find other

MLS outa the picture to costly
Many ""400"" gaskets allow for a lot of oversize !!! As u say 4.200 hole
A lot of racing only stuff

Felpro do a F1003 with centre cylinder priority cooling in steel or copper ring . Its 4.165 gasket hole . Most likely the one maybe ..

I will check out Chevolet Perf ,,any others ????

I wouldnt worry if it was closer to 4.2 ... Drop in compression is nominal, and if the top of the bore has a chamfer on it you dont want the gasket in that area..

    Hi
When I`m saying standard bore I am referring to a gasket that takes bore chamfer into account`.

    Compression using flat tops , 5cc V/Relief , 70cc chamber ,.008 in the hole , 4.165 gasket , .040 gasket TH
    = 10.59 :1 CR

Don't want to shave heads to the max or deck block till 0 height

Heads being shaved .030 1/2 the max
    block decked say .018 thou

How much compression do you want, you'll be up at 11+... I wouldnt shave .018 and pop the piston up 10 past the deck with a .040 gasket... When I say I wouldnt I have but .030 piston to head clearance isnt safer than .040-.050 just saying...
