    A camshaft doesnt know what engine its going in, there is no specific cam for a Holden VS chev, ford, LS etc... There are only lobe characteristics, coupled with rocker ratio and valve events.. You saw the IVC and EVO points were the same for the perceived 'mild' 216/220 vs the 232/236.. If you dont need overlap, why put it in there?.. If you got a Vn head 2.055 valve made the port big like 2.4 - 2.5" you could use a cam like an LS3 would that has f-ck all overlap.. If you wanted to make peak HP at a low RPM like 6000-6500

    There is seat to seat duration of course, but GM with the LS series just made the heads better so they dont need as much as an old HQ head for the RPM..
