    HI
IF the laws of 1 state allow it it will pass in another state with court time . U need a good specialized lawyer . Another example of guilty and proving innocence.

The problem arises when driving interstate and/or shifting home states . Some states want u to start allover again even with the simplest mods .

As stated before your best bet is to talk to an engineer -

    Hi
First u need a good engineer and possibly a specialist lawyer. Both need tobe well schooled in the vehicle laws in each and every state . Finding a poor engineer and lowly lawyer u may as well do the application yourself and put up with the LOCAL bullshit laws . Doing it that way u will never get what u want .

The rego dept is that far behind itself its not funny . In the dark ages .
Whatever u do always pre organise your appointments with the boss at local office never with counter staff

One of my work machines needs 2 registrations utter utter bullshit . That means 2 x lotsa insurance !!!! its not registered at all because the first is null and void by there description . Complete bloody f...k up by the rego dept . By there description it should be fully covered but this is not the case !!

On a more positive note I registered a v6 chev in a Lc torana when it was less fashionable needed experienced engineers etc around 1986 in SA . The authorities acted like it was an impossible conversion . I used an experienced engineer who did a lot of approvals for modded vehicles .
