Just a little update. Got the chassis back under the body, the front suspension back together and resting on the front wheels. Only problem is I put the front wheel nuts somewhere really safe, so safe I can't find them now.

As this has turned into a bigger job than I expected another vehicle has turned up,

If I'd known how much fun they are to drive I would have taken more notice of my GF's pestering for me to buy her one and done it years ago.

My brother built a mini for his wife a few years ago, those things are awesome fun to drive. Its was a special effect purple with silver stripes. He sold it to a young fella, an now it sits in the backyard of his parents place with grass around it as tall as the car itself. Very sad to see. And he won't sell it.

You have to wonder why people would let a nice car go like that.

I was planning on getting some more of the front suspension/steering parts painted today but only managed to get the brake calipers blasted.

Small update, The sun came out today and I was at home which meant I could get some paint on the firewall. Starting to get sick of tripping over the engine and gearbox in the middle of my workshop and the only other place to put them is in the car so the engine bay has to get done.

Quick pic of firewall with some paint after a few patches of extra holes, decided to ditch all the A/C so there were a few holes to deal with.

Two steps forward, one step back. Got the brake booster back in, so much easier with the dash and steering column out. Fitted the wiper motor only to find that the driver side wiper pivot is seized and then found that the two other spare I have are also stuffed. Also fitted up the heater box after spending ages searching through a stack of boxes spread across 4 sheds looking for the fixings (almost need an index sheet of where stuff is) Also found the missing wheel nuts.

Also started fitting up some brake lines.

Keeping the Mini going and stopping has put a dent in the budget for the wagon

Not much, Put the front panels back on, brake lines done and picked up a few bits and pieces
Still haven't replaced the boot floor or sourced a fuel tank.

Had a good Australia day weekend. Cricket on the tv, beer and workin' on the Kingswood.

Got the boot floor welded up. Glad i dont have to do that again. Between running out of gas and wire it took 2 days.

Also got the tailgate back together. After a quick reco on the motor and replacing the rollers it goes up and down like a dream
