lo0l your definitely doing the right thing mate taking other people shit out and doing it right, unfortunately back in the day them sort of repairs were normal coz it just all got covered in bog with most shitty panel beaters, so i recon you are doing the right thing... in my thread you should see the roof Repair on my tonner, someone have just got the front part of another roof and welded it right onto the original roof...! so now i am in the process of taking it off and replacing it...!

Looking good tho mate keep it up...!

Good work on the repairs mate...that's some bad rust in the roof. Even with some warping it will be heaps better than when you started. If you're going to go to the trouble fixing it, you might as well do it properly.

CM78 here two of the tools I have made. First is the folder that is good for 300mm wide and second is the Shriner stretcher tool. I will get a pic of the English wheel when I get to work as I left it there as I don't have a lot of space at home. I am also in the middle of making a folder that has a width of 1600mm but that is taking time. To many projects on all at once. Anyway here are the pics, if you want any info/drawings I could knock something up for you.

Help!!! how does everyone go about welding in a new patch panel that is joining to an area that has the original factory leaded joint. I am currently repairing the roof rear corner above the door and around to the rear window. In this area is the original join from the roof down to the rear quarter and the lead fill that area.

Here's the previous repair I want to fix

and here is the area once the crap is cut out.. the very right is where there is the original joint with lead fill

I have repaired the underneath skin and now need to make and join the outer skin with the help of all your suggestions haha
