My HJ Premier
Thought I would would start a thread for my rebuild project.
It's a 75 HJ Premier with 308, TH400, A/C and P/S. The car is in great original condition, with only minimal rust and should be a good starting point for the rebuild.
My aim is to do as much of the work as possible myself. The basic plan is to strip the body back to bare metal and respray, rebuild the engine and driveline, new interior.
With a busy job and young family I don't get a huge amount of spare time, so I'm expecting this project to take a while. Hoping to get everything finished over the next couple of years.
Here's the car when I first got it. It came fully optioned with GTS dash, honeycomb wheels and factory sunroof.

Body is nice and straight and everything else is completely untouched. Only just getting started, so still a long way to go. Thought that putting up a thread might help keep me motivated.

Thats a great prem you have there, i cant belive how good it is in a unrestored state, such a great find and its got some awesome rare factory options, whats the plan are you keeping it origonal or painting it a diferent couler or going all out and changing heaps of stuff.Too much power I never enough

Plans at this stage are for a nice weekend cruiser. Not going to be completely original, but no drastic changes. New paint, some extra HP, lowered, new wheels. This isn't going to be a show car, justing trying to get the best result I can working from my shed.
Don't like the original mandarin red much, but will probably go with a another red colour. Haven't decided how far to go with the engine yet...might depend on how well the budget holds out. Definitely want some more HP, but nothing too over the top. Will keep the interior fairly original but thinking of changing to black instead of the original colour.
These plans will probably change as the build evolves, but that's the general idea.
