If the chassis is mint as you say then you're 3/4 there. Why go 5L? Good motors sure but LS1s seem to be getting cheaper by the minute! I'll look forward to watching your progress

Here Ya Go Poof photo of todays efferts

Well today i gave me cousin a hand doing a bit on his HJ
removed drive Line with OLD 202 (still runs)and 4speed trans.

We had that out in about 30mins forgot how easy these old girls are to work on with an old 6 whacker in.

Especially with The Mobile Car hoist (Large Fork lift) and a good Battery powered rattle gun. Had a good head start without the front Clip on as well.

While we were there we removed carpet and bench seat. Did a Vacum under the carpet and pressure Cleaned the Floors. The floors are so Clean its not funny (rust wise).
The amount of Dust and dirt was a unreal as this was a farm Bus it had Plenty.

After some close inspection of the chasis its realy a nice ute No repairs, cracks or large crash damage any more then cosmetic panel stuff shown in other Photos with only a bit of mild panel and paint work to be done to get it up to Scratch he a has another set of gaurds etc that are no where as sad as the ones that had come with it. Had a good look i reacon he should get away with just a wire brush and treatment on the plenum under the corners of the windscreen.

I think he was the first to wash the poor old thing in 20 plus years . Living on gravel roads and paddocks on the farm has seen the lower sections pron to mud etc need a little rust repairs but realy not to much other then sills.

    Lucky Bastard

If he can keep on track she will be a good thing.

BTW I like your safety Boots

yes very different the bonnet lines on hj-wb are different to the hq ones, most tonners had a commercial front on them so the cowl has a different step to line up with hq bonnet lines,

the main difference if you look at the nose cone the hq/ commerical front has very little step in it where the rest have a big step and the bonnet lines on hj-wb are angled the hqs are more straight
