Red face wb one tonner 355 build

so looking through the builds and restos of fellow aussiev8 users (mainly vidohq and pez,Brettly-2008) i thought i would put up my build on here including vs wagon v6 ecotec which im attempting to go carby with
and also its a budget build

    • ok wb one tonner 1/72 1984
    • came with a hj/hx front clip
    • no tray as seen below
    • vl RB30et /auto stage 2 shift kit after market msd ignition setup
    • ideas for colour hsv ego blue with metallics 100% and pearl 100%( but im open to colour ideas aswell)
    • thinking of changing the banjo for a lsd ( would a ute lsd work in a one tonner?)
    hj.jpg

i found this car local and was thinking about putting a photo kind of tribute to my grandfather on this one tonner on the driver side pillar
ok bad parts on the car:
    • rust in passanger side door
    • rust in the passanger side floor
    • hole size of a 10 cent coin
    • damage on the drivers side pillar
    • damage to the drivers side roof
    • damage to the rear on the chassis ( was told the guy wanted to turn the one tonner to a tipper , so he almost cut the chassis away )
    • removed the rear spare wheel rail
    • rust in the drivers side sill under the door ( as they do) in the size of about a 20 cent peice

    ideas for the tray
    • wooden tray with my grandfathers name in the top railings engraved
    • having empty nitrious bottle just for show
    • a hidden spot for the 60 litre tank underneath the tray which will also be then connected up to the orginal fuel tank
    • having custom made lights made for this tray might even have them in the timber tray hidden wiring in the tray and in the engine bay
    • ford9" diff wanting the trans to be able to suit the tonner with the tailshaft etc

ok now the fun part the engine
[LIST][*]355 ci built by hand[*]T400 transmission rebuilt by the local guys[*]custom exhaust manifold[*]exhaust finishing just before the diff[*]procomp 355 ci stroker kit[*]hsv 286 camshaft[*]silver pushrods[*]custom made rocker covers ( have to get them made with POP-355 on them and having something personal made on the side)[*]alumium rocker rollers[*]thinking about 450hp[*]barry grant fuel system (thanks to wlder355 )[*]barry grant 750 demon carby[*]shotgun scoop (with POP-355 on either side)[*]thinking of later on adding a supercharger

inside the cabin;[*] hj white with houndstooth [*]white venour headlinning [*] black carpet[*]black dash reskinned[*] hj gts dash or standard dash[*] quicksilver shifter[*]glovebox with "POP-355")
    [/LIST

Sounds like you have you work cut out for you. But if you keep that picture in your head of the car you want it will happen good luck and don't loose sight of where you want it to be. I will be inerested in your progress

thanks vidohq love how your interior works well with your exterior, who was the guy who done your dash as i will need to get my black dash reskinned :/ and thinking of matching your interior or something close to it but keeping the white look on the inside as this will be a weekender and local car show

I hope your neighbour DID outbid you, for your sake.
A minute of thinking can save hours of doing
