    Default HQ Premier BUILD #2!!

Bit premature this build, but as i wrote the car off 3 weeks ago, it has to be done!

SO! to begin, here's the damage:

Purchased genuine HQ GTS guards, Premier nosecone and bonnet so far.
The plan is, GTS mock-up with Premier front (i love twin lights )

I received insurance payment today, as well as the triple SU's.

new plans for paint are, Tungsten grey, all GTS blackouts.
    Powdercoated chassis and steering components.

Air bag kit front and rear with accuair and running 15x8 rears, 15x7 fronts.

The engine is 60thou, ported oil galleries, mahle flat tops, solid roller cam and lifters, PCB roller rockers and manley pushrods. knife edged and balnced bottom end with a worked head, and 1 3/4" triple SU's.

Enough to keep a P-PLater happy

The daily is now a VK SL i picked up for $500!!!!

Best thing you can do is pull off everything that's broken. Then every move you make is towards fixing it. You're off to a good start!

That's whats happening. pulled off all the broken shit, and taken it to the metal recyclers and got some coin back.
took a little while to start on it as it was too depressing chassis is out now (front left is tweaked) putting in a new, smoothed and coated one.
Really going balls to the wall to get it on the road within the next 2 months!

Seems to me that you might have been very lucky indeed, to have received ANY payment from the Insurance Company with those non-standard engine modifications, especially with a bank of SU's hanging off the side of the engine. . .

That's cool, I was going to ask who your insurance company was and swap my policy over to them. . . .
Although I have seen 'P' platers pinged by insurance arseholes for having extractors fitted to their otherwise stock machines that were now termed "High Performance" by the same idiots at the Insurance Company.

Unfortunately the reason for my stock 17l/100km 202 :'(

Sucks so much about the prang! All the best with the rebuild, sounds like it'll be a ripper when it's done! Doco the airbag a lot for us too, never seen it done before!

All the best with the 2-month time frame also

Well when you've just finished doing it all once before those connections should be pretty fresh :P

Seriously I read your whole thread a few weeks ago, looked great then to see what had happened my heart just sunk.
Glad to see you've got the right attitude and getting straight back into it. I'll be keeping an eye on this, keep up the good work.
