Smile Non chryser engine into Valiant AP5, Can it be done?

G'day guys, Just wondering if anyone has done this or know of this. Installing and non chrysler engine into a Chrysler (ie 350 etc), can it be done?
I am weighing up whether to rebuild my 318 or look at swapping out for a crate engine, but not sure of potential issues that I may come across in thinking this way. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Some old fords had twin snorkels to draw in air...should be able to get or make aftermarket version.

Might work better than what you have if scoops etc are a big no.

Put an LS1 in there... The yanks put them into Chrysler 'A' Body cars which is the same as our valiants so it can be done.. Mounts and exhaust need to be done. They take a mopar RB big block so a small block from another manufacturer will go in...

Well if the new gen Hemis were plentiful in this country, you'd go that way.. An LS can be had for around a grand for a runner. Its harder to make a 318/340/360 LA engine run like one on the cheap aside from the short block they arent that good stock as far as heads go,a VN headed 304 is a far better engine for using most the OEM components.. Then, try and find a 360 or even a 318 to rebuild (forget 340s)

No why? all good.. You could put something like that into the Mopar for sure.

Getting hold of a rebuildable 360 is the issue.. Then you are stuck with the 360J heads, even just a reco and a basic port will run you 2 grand plus. So you buy Edelbrock performers with the tiny peashooter ports, then you have to hog the crap out of them for the 408, the list goes on...

I'd love to show up at Mopar Sunday or a Mopar show with a small block chevy in the engine bay of my VH Charger they sort of look the same from a distance so when they come in closer come in spinner.. If they werent a bunch of geriatrics they'd probably want to hit me. I can hear the comments now LOL ...

Pauly, why the forget the 340?

Iím no mopar man, but was always under the impression from the local mopar gurus that the 340ís were better (and harder to find) than the 318 and 360.
