hi
The gauges are powered from a fused ignition source and go thru the variable resistance sender units on engine [oil andwater temp ] then electrical circuit returns to battery .
Correct voltage to dash board guage fuse then correct voltage at back of gauges . The earth side , wire from guage goes to senders ,check condition connections .
That's the basics
Then check earth straps and connectors at bulkhead if u have one
Battery to body
battery to engine block [bell housing bolt near starter motor]
battery to interior dash board
