Have been looking at brake upgrades.. Is it much of a stuff around fitting the VT booster into a VK V8? Does it need welding and modding to bolt it in?
    Thanks!

just finished off this havent done the master or booster but have found u can use the standard caliper lines just need to cut a bit off the caliper and lift the caliper when bleeding them to get air out so that saves nearly 100 bucks in lines.

After bolting the vs booster and master, i still had no pedal half way to the floor.
Because i only have 5inches of vacuum in gear (auto) 7inches in park.
I ended up going to a 4x4 wreckers and getting a vacuum canister of a hilux.
plumbed it between the manifold and booster, fixed the issue instantly, got a full
pedal now, i would recommend anyone who is running big cam and single plain hi rise
    to try this method.

I used VS booster and master, did not seperate.. just a straight bolt in.
vacuum canister is of a hilux, you can buy aftermarket ones and they are alot bigger, similar to a catch can..

the VK booster/1" master is not a good setup with VT front brakes in my experience

While not on a VB-K, I have done the VT caliper upgrade on my VR and the brakes are way better than they use to be. I used a VS plastic booster with a VT master but chose to use a 4mm spacer between the two and just shorten the adjuster screw so the head of it sits flush on the rod. Also used the VS reservoir so it would sit correctly in the engine bay.
    Well worth the effort.

Hi 350ovk I know this post is 9 years old but I don’t suppose you still have the vk and can send me a photo of the vs master and booster setup. holdenvkv8@hotmail.com
