    Default Sound deadened

Hi everyone, just after some recommendations on what brand of self adhesive sound deadener people are using?
Is there something that's a bit cheaper than dynamat but is still half decent?
    Thanks.

Just noticed I posted in the wrong section so feel free to move.
    Cheers.

I asked around & read a couple of threads & ended up buying Dynamat.

I only had a ute cab to sound proof though.

Thanks for that willie! I want to do a whole sedan so just seeing if I could save a bit
It might be worth just paying the extra and buying Dynamat as it seems like a good product.
Have you had anything to do with the ping jing/tiger brands at all as there seems a few mixed reviews.
    Cheers.

I spoke to a guy that installs car audio and he put me off the cheap stuff saying it was o.k. on flat surfaces but he had seen it come off doors, firewalls etc.

I used an ebay one and was great by car builders!!! Just make sure its a decent thickness. The one i used was less than $100 a pack i think. I used cheap shit on doors years ago, to take the drumy sound out of them and has lasted nearly ten years.
I then also used a special sound and heat underlay from a car carpet place, it has alloy through the guts of it. I also put in brand new carpet and with the thick underlay has a very nice feel to it

My floor used to get very hot as have a mild 355 in the ute with pipes very close to floor.
Now after 30mins the floor is like the car was never running.
Dont be fooled into paying big bucks for a brand!! Use a roller to apply it and its quite satisfying and very easy to use. And once on hard to remove.

Thanks for that vsssute,Your right about paying for just a name and that's why I thought I'd ask here and get some suggestions on other brands as well.
Thanks for the input so far guys.
    Cheers.

Yep the main thing is its thickness, its basically just tar at the end of the day with a foil backing.
