what to do in Perth - Aussie V8 | Holden - Ford

Howdy all, myself and 6 mates are coming over for a bender on the australia day weekend next year for 4 nights to watch Australia vs New Zealand in the one day international. Just wondering if you could give me some ideas on what to do, where to go, where to stay etc.

Not sure where anything is over there, all I have planned so far is the cricket and casino.

Any ideas must involve the consumption of alcohol

go to accomadation on the net find sonething in Scarborough that is in your price range.it's right on the beach pleanty of night life about 20min out of perth then you have perth itself walking distance from northbridge with clubs etc.about 5km from the W A C A for your cricket then fremantle about 20min from perth plenty of life there too if you want more info just ask hope this is a help

oh yeah,skyworks if u wanna see flashing lights,or you can just walk round northbridge and see them everywhere you go.

Hmmm HEAPS of places you could stay Daryn. I would suggest something along the river. Depends what sort of accomodation you are looking for. Just a few places to check out along the river:
Duxton Hotel
Hyatt Regency
Burswood Resort (.... casino!)
Sheraton Hotel
Are you looking at staying an a hotel/apartment? Do you want to be close to the city? What sort of budget you looking at?

Accom budget is roughly around the $80-100 mark per person per night. One of those holiday apartments might be the go. We all get in on Friday morning so we'd like to head somewhere pretty decent for the australia day celebrations. Prefer to keep it in the city near the waca if possible.

We're not really into the clubbing scene, prefer hitting pubs and what not. As long as the beer is cold.

there are some ok pubs in northbridge the mustang bar is usually a goodie.

Perhaps look at heading out of the perth area if you want real "stuff" to do, a tour down south to margaret river is good, theres caves and wineries and chocolate factories and cheese factories n stuff down there, all can be done in a day or two.

Lancelin, never been there but theres stuff you can do like quad bike riding and a huge 4wd tour bus. Dont forget to visit freo and the hillary's boat harbour..

Theres plenty of real stuff to do if your willing to head an hour or 2 out of the city (metro) area.
