Default hoons or tragedy??

im sorry for ranting on about this, but it has become an issue enough to talk about this
why is it when 5 private school kids get into a crash and 3 of them die and 2 are in serious condition that they call it a tragedy??
is it because they were driving an expensive BMW??
is it because they were well educated??
is it because it was a 4 cylinder vehicle????!?

if those 5 kids were from a rough area with a LESS expensive car with LESS power would they still call it a TRAGEDY??

The speed limit is 70km/h and witnesses said the car raced through the intersection at up to 140km/h and hit a hump.

Sparks flew as the car landed 12m farther on and one tyre may have blown. The BMW then went sideways for 70m and slid up the medium strip into the tree, throwing debris across the road.

yet the news portraits it as a "tragedy"
it is ****ing sad that the rich get portrayed as goody goodies and the poor get ****ed around by the people that should be saving them

the media also put this in

Locals say the hump at the intersection is a hazard.
Ms Spoelstra, who has lived in Vahland Ave for 20 years, said: ``Cars go over the hump at the intersection and they get airborne and the drivers lose control.''

``From what we've seen at the scene, the amount of damage done to the vehicle, and also what witnesses have told us, it appears the vehicle was travelling too fast.''
OFCORSE they were travelling too fast..... isnt that what hoons do??

the rich always get better treatment the the poor, always have always will. if you want proof why is it the cops never pull over expensive (im talking about prestige expensive not classic expensive) car in RBTs or generally for any other matter? these people are just as likely to drink and drive as anyone else if not more

cheers adam

yes its a tragedy for the families

tragedy for the kids??? no.... coz they are dead
the media??? say what they want and don't care
any news..good news or bad news creates interest in their
product and therefore income

the whole thing is sad becoz one or more individuals
were being idiots in a car which crashed (this is NO accident)
and killed and injured others

ps
I have to state an interest in this sort of thing-
my first wife was killed in an accident when out with friends.
Yes...an accident in that the newly surfaced road they were on had large
collections of blue metal unswept on it. it was ruled unsafe by the coroner

I live about 10 minutes from where that happened, and drive past it everyday to work. That road isn't that bad, but yeah you can get a hella lot of speed, and yeah there is a wicked bump in the middle of the traffic lights that heaps of people get airbourne on. Even if you were trying to beat a yellow light the bump could **** you around alittle.

But saying that, they're ****ing hoons. Why the media hasn't made it a big hoon deal as they would if it was a Commodore in Gosnells that did the same thing I have no idea, and that pisses me off.

A guy at work said he saw the crash happen, and went over to them when they crashed, checking pulses and that sort. Don't know if he was anyone in that news artical, but he mentioned one of the people in the car was squashed up against the tree with his head severed, but still in place.
But yeah **** the media, they're ****s to everyone. I didn't know those BMW models came out in 4 cylinder, and I thought it was an older BMW?

It's a 2000 model 3 Series... used to be a sedan, now a convertible...

In the news days before the crash, the gov wanted to ban p platers from driving v8s. When this happened they said maybe we need more proof that its high powered car that cause these crashes, cos the bmw was only a 1.8l 4 pot.

It doesnt matter what they drive and how much power it has, if the road is long enough they will try break speed records.

If the law was changed p plater could still drive a 200kw 6 but not a old 100kw v8. when are the gov going to wake up and relize that its more driver training thats needed not put bans out.

i think the main concern is that cars are alot faster nowdays for the price
back in the 80's cars were alot slower, sure the cars nowdays are alot safer, but what's gonna save you hitting a tree at 150km/h, cars are alot cheaper and quicker, resulting in more deaths, but because they are "5 star" safety rating people think they cant die in em :|
