Default Petrolhead newby

Goodaye people,
i have just found this forum and have read some of the threads, some of which are quite amusing, others are very informative.
I have a VZ SS Thunder ute 6.0 litre manual in devil yellow, and an LX Torana 4 door which will soon have a billet cranked 383 istalled which has fuel injection, Kostecki CNC ported dash 3 VN aluminium heads, roller cam, Harrop manifold, 4 bolt mains, electric water pump etc etc.
And as much as some people will laugh quite loudly about my choice, i have a Tremec 5 speed gearbox to slot behind a Textralia prepped yella terra flywheel with a twin plate clutch. I dislike auto's intensely, so to me there is no option but a manual, no matter how many ( mostly drag racers ) industry people scoff at my choice of gearbox. Time will tell how durable the old Tremec and twin plate clutch really is. I will have heaps of fun finding out how good a combo it really is.

Goodaye there LH/350,
i just prefer to be in charge of my car rather than my car be in charge of what gear i should be in, plus i like to double de-clutch on the change down, it sounds so much better. I dont really care if my car is a little bit slower at "Woop Ass Wednesday'' ( Kwinana Motorplex street drags ) because i am driving a manual, i just enjoy driving a manual much more than an auto. Try all you like, you will be unable to convince me that an auto is better, maybe when i am old and feeble i will give in and change but until then i will stick (sic) with a manual.
