Default Howdy

Hello all, Just thought I'd take the time to introduce myself. My name's Joe, and if you're wondering the username I have is the rego of my VH Commy, my once daily driver now rotting away in my garage as I scalvage money together to get it painted, panel beaten and.... well... make the engine turn over again.

I'm a first year electrician at the Xstrata mines here in Mount Isa, North West Queensland. I'm 21, a youngin I know but, before anyone accuses me, I'm not a dumbass with a lead foot. I love V8's, I love going slow, so the best thing for me is anything built before the 80's! Good thing too because those are the cars I believe look and feel the best. Although with the prices they are now I'm finding it a little difficult to get one. I own a VH commodore with a 253, 308 Brock heads, mild cam, 3 inch exhaust and a realllllly horrible M20 tranny. Which is probably why my mums Corolla would smash it in a straight line...

Here's some pics before I hit a kangaroo and had to take it off the road:

That was when I bought the car in '05, I don't have a camera since my phone took a swim so those are the only photo's I have. Interior is in pretty bad knick, but I'm trying my best to fix it all with the limited knowledge of a repco catalogue, the manual I got with it and Google. My other cars include a Ford Fiesta (Brrrrrrrrrrrrrrrmmmmmmmm!), ZJ Fairlane with a 250 xflow and a Ford TX-3 turbo.... that is sitting in a friends garage doing nothing.

I have a degree in IT so any computer stuff you need help with you can ask, I'll be glad to help. And if that's all.... Thanks for letting me settle in your little community

Shame about the kangaroo. Looked nice. I absolutely love the VH Commodore model. Come to think of it I haven't seen one on the road for ages and I used to see them all the time. Shame.
