Default wanted: clutch return spring

hey guys im chasing a clutch return spring and spring bracket for an aussie 4 speed (m20). reason being is that i have a brass button clutch and when changing gears the clutch takes a lil longer than i wanted to come back.

i have installed a hydrolic clutch and works fine just not fast enough.

cheers kris. any information would be awsome cheers.

If its hydraulic and not returning fast enough, maybe you should look into the cylinder and line capacity? If all thats required is a spring then just make something.

as 76lxhatch said, you need to look elsewhere.

your pressure plate will have more return pressure than any spring you could put in there.
I'd look for a restriction in your line slowing the fluid return to the master cylinder
look for any flattened sections and restrictive flares.

If you read the " Dirty Stuff " article in Dec 2007 Street Machine it explains the exact same scenario as you have. I think wabbit is on the money, in the article it says you should have tubing with 6.2mm outside diameter. Any smaller will cause restriction.
