Default Gazzanationals - Calder March 2008

Taken from another site:

Gary Myers & Clint Ogilvie’ set to fire up Melbourne’s Calder Park
WITH GazzaNationals Australian street machine champion’s Gary Myers & Clint Ogilvie today announced plans to bring the highly successful GazzaNationals customized car festival to Victoria.

According to Gary Myers, Victoria’s street machine fans will be the winners when they light up Melbourne’s Calder Park Raceway with the GazzaNationals on the weekend of Saturday 1st and Sunday 2nd March 2008.

Myers and his wife Deby will team up with fellow Burnout Legend Clint Ogilvie, and his wife Robyn, to stage the Melbourne GazzaNationals, the event the Myers have successfully staged in Adelaide in 2005 and 2006. (The third is scheduled to run in October 2007 & many more years
they’re after, as Adelaide will always be the main Event.)

Adelaide will not be loosing this EVENT; it will be there for many years to come.

“We heard from street machine fans in Melbourne that they were keen to see an event like the Adelaide GazzaNationals come to Victoria,” Gary & Clint said.”

“When we were approached by our good friend’s Clint & Robyn Ogilvie (famous for his Pink 1970 LC Torana) with the suggestion that we bring the GazzaNationals to Melbourne, we thought long and hard about it. After investigation and discussions it seems that Calder Park is the best place
to run an event like the GazzaNationals,” Gary & Deby said.

The Melbourne GazzaNationals will include all the usual events that street machiners love; burnout demonstrations and competitions, as well as Go-To-Whoa, Super Skid, and Show & Shine competitions, the ever-popular Cruize-the-Track, trade displays & ALL NEW Dial your own DRAGS and much more.

Gary Myers says that they believe they can reach fans in other states starved of these sorts of events, so it’s a natural and comfortable progression for them. “We are already having discussions with branching out into other states, he said.

Gary Myers & Clint Ogilvie are both Burnout Masters and are really looking forward to bring this new Event to Melbourne Victoria. In which has been booked with Calder Park on 1st & 2nd March 2008.
