I did have until recently(mortgage and new family got the better of me)

18 ft Gilflite laser ski boat
350 chev 290 hp(approx)
bout 55-60 mph
mid mount
soft clutch

once my kids get a bit older(1yo and one on the way)we will get another one.I will definately buy another gilflite they're an awesome boat

hi guys.

18.5 ft Lewis Fireball social boat
350 Chev 300hp (approx.)
3000rpm 75kmph (solid), 5800rpm 140kmph (hydraulic)
rear mount
dog clutch

only really ever run with solid.
tuned just for social skiing and tubing. no need for so much speed.

Hi all,

my two boats,

Gilflite Spitfire , just undergone a ground up reserection, mild 350, soft clutch, fresh upholstery, new trailer, etc etc

Syndicate timber ski race boat, again 350 , haines/helliar v-drive 18%,
menkens 2blade prop, etc etc

if i can work it out i'll post a few pics.

Ski racing WAS my go. ive been out of it for a few yrs now, but still got the boat and a shed full of bits n pieces.
I was going to sell it a few yrs ago, as it was wasted, but the nephews are getting a bit keen, so who knows........maybe resurection time lol

16 foot lewis clinker project
rb30det should be good for 520hp ( nissan 3l bottom end with rb25 head and garrett gt3540 turbo ) forged pistons , forged rods, o ringed block, all balanced so it revs, tomei cam shafts, water to air intercooler, closed circuit cooling system, full custom made exhuast and intake manifolds to suit engine facing wrong way. all custom engine plates etc etc. u name it its gotta be made
rear mount setup
argo v drive
nankervis race prop
bennet hydrualic cavitation plates
hoping to run 75- 80mph at 7200rpm in expert 5.2litre class
will be running this summer but race next season after we get the boat running right
i'll put some updated pics soon

Bauchy, what type of racing are you planning on competing in? We circuit race a 100mph 5.2 displacement...

hey ramma, we are going to ski race, i'm not expecting 100mph from my hull tho running gear will be capable. we are going to 70mph class in our first year then race 5.2 the season after once we are sorted . see how everything goes first, putting the boat together is a big enough mission.

what sort of set up are you running?? hull engine etc .

be good to have a chat to some one who races 5.2

Hull type: Swiftcraft Eagle 570, built in 1990. 22 foot
V drive straight cut gears (howls)
fixed prop, not sure on pitch etc
Now installed a heat exchanger with my son. took some work, but now is good for bay runs
Name: ANOTHER PISSER

Ex-Specifiations from draggin days
Drag Boat
Motor: Mercuiser modified 454 Big block, injected, motech management system, stern drive
Max RPM: 7000 160 km
Hull type: same
stern drive
not sure on prop info.

20ft bertram 5.0 mercruiser power is any ones guess but its built 4 fishn and at least its a v8

580HP
7800rpm in our boat, 100mph.
V bottom, 18ft displacement
direct drive box
menkins 2 blade prop
