All for it thanks Mark. Other than a couple of US sites I have not found this type of forum.

Is that a displacment hull or implacment hull. Looks like you have a little project on your hands there. My mate has a bondwood hull (not sure of the top of my head what make) that he did up years ago. They look nice when they are all polished up.

no worries guys! If we get some good use out of this we'll stretch it out a little and spread it across a few forums, e.g. hull, engine and ... something else

From December to end of March they keep the water level up enough to satisfy the boaters, Ski season brings in alot of money for Echuca . Still had to keep an eye out for logs though, low water levels meant more trees falling into the water from the rivers edge.

Speed and timing the key, I get them out beside the boat say right side, turn the nose to there side, straighten up again then go left and pull them across the wake.

The boys have been doing for a few years now so plenty of practise.

ok so comes down to the skill of the driver alot more than just trying it when the driver is going straight

Definetly, you have to watch the guys all the time ,
normally sit on steady 2500rpm , watch how far around they come around and time the turns, the boys watch the wash , ropes etc and they do the rest .

Bloody Echuca! I swear that place is haunting me. My missus and all her family are all from there and it seems everyone you meet has either been there or knows someone from there.

Infact I was only there at the start of the month. Pretty dry out there atm, definately need some rain to top up the Murray. I went to the 2005 Southern 80 and boy does that wake the town up!!!! Awesome event.

Anyway here's a pic of my 18.5' Flat bottom Everingham Project
