Default COME Racing set to close doors.

It is with deep and sad regret that I inform everyone that after 20+ years of research, development and manufacturing of performance orientated components, COME racing is set to cease production. This decision has not been taken lightly but after repeated un-successful attempts at finding a prospective buyer to continue operations, it has left no choice but for Sam and Issy to finally wind down and put their feet up for a well deserved rest.

So what happens from here you ask?

At this stage there is no definite plans to continue production of COME branded components unless someone buys the intellectual property of the COME brand.

When does this all come into effect?

Within the next few months the sale of COME racing premises will be auctioned off, most likely followed by the equipment/tooling and stock at a public auction. The asking price of buying the business as a whole including premises is set at the 4 million + mark.

An official announcement will be made at a later date as to the reasoning and particulars of this decision and what chance, if any, there will be of COME racing products being made available in the future.

Shame. I do hope they're closing due to early retirement after many years of hard work and effort.

There's no denying the quality of their R&D and product produced, but prospective buyers will look only at the bottom line and in that case, Australian designed and built is a lot harder to keep profitable.

I think they did a lot of good R&D work, but some of it, like the Alloy blocks, was probably unnecessary.

Still have a lot of respect for the products they developed in terms of stoker kits and alloy heads though, hope someone buys it and keeps those products coming.

Issy and Sam are good guys ... I spoke to both of them on a few occasions, as well as buying parts from them ...

Good customer service from COME, I always recommended their products and services when someone would ask ... I wish them all the best.

Shit, thats no good. Its a good thing i am going a SBC now and not a 355ci like originaly planned.

Youguys do know what this means dont ya??? Other cheap inferior companies who make alloy heads will put there prices up, becuase the competition will be gone. Lets hope Yella Terra doesnt go down the same road.

Nah, the Yella Terra rockers go world wide, It'd be VERY surprising if they went down the gurgler...

COME must still have the moulds and stuff .... We could do an AV8 syndicate and buy them up

What do you guys reckon I should do, id planned to purchase a TTB manifold in 2-3 months. Should I get one now why they are still operating or wait till a clearance sale if they have one?? Or will that be too late!
