Default Hk gts from the bush

I thugh that i would share a few photos of the HK that we purchesed for my wife recently. Its a one owner that has been on a station up north for 20 something years. Once our shed is built in 3 months the tidy up will start.

Not sure if you would call it a barn find or not, we have known of the car for some time and when the time came for the bloke to sell it we had a quiet chat to him. Not to may people knew of it though, just got over looked while it sat in the corner of his shed with a cover over it for years. The last time he drove it from what i can gather was a few years ago.

Yeah how much? I'm always super curious what people pay for these and whether the owner has any clue what they're worth.

I got sent a set of Rare Spares repro HK wheelarch moulds the other day and they seem to fit very well. Haven't tried them on genuine clips yet though they fit on Rares ones. Not sure if they'll sell them individually though but I thin a set was going to be about $800. So put the repros on it and keep the originals!

HK1837 did you have to modify ur rare spares wheel arch moulds at all ?? I went in to buy a set the other day and the bloke there told me that the 3 sets he had recieved didn't fit that well to another customers car, it was like they were not made to the correct radious and just kept wanting to spring off.

Just to reiterate the sentiments here, there's something special about a nice original version of the first of a new model ie HK and HK coup in this case. I feel the same about the XR and XA stuff -they just look the best and have an innocence about them. A tidy, stock VB Commodore would be nice too, if you can find one. And dare I say it; a 'barn find' VN Series 1 would be worth buying.

    Nice work again.
