G'day, I'm rebuilding my WB ute and am finally around to fitting the WB statesman rear bumper I bought for her. Looks more complicated than I first thought...anyone got any hints / ideas / tricks? Thanks, Ben

I put mine on a long time ago. I do remember it being a bit of a bugger of a job. Had to muck around with the mounts to make it work. If you have a welder and some spare time it will work out no worries. When the bumper is on, it does look a little to wide for the ute body. Ideally a little cut and shut of the bumper would make it look better.
Cheers mate. I reckon I can cut and shut the old brackets and weld them to the little bumperette brackets with a bit of a tweak. Stato bar does look damn huge held up to the back of the ute! Wouldn't mind catching up to swap stories / ideas once it's back on the road (soon I hope). Ta, Ben.
Hi Ben, that's right, just shut and cut the old brackets to make it work. When's the ute planned to be on the road? Also what part of the Adelaide Hills you located?
I'm out the back of Nairne a bit. Hope to have the ute on the road soon - complete but never finished! Pulled it off the road 4 years ago to fix the rust...strewth. I want to swap the diff gears for something taller as the plan was to use it as a daily driver except that now means 140 kays a day incl. dirt roads. Hopefully find the time and $ to finish it soon as I'm dead keen to drive it again! I'll have a crack at the brackets this w.end. Let you know how it goes. Ben
Im over Echunga way so not far at all. Good luck with the rest of the build.
