Default Shortening Axle..who does it in adelaide

anyone know a good place to get an axle shortened??

Thanx Banno..got a quote today from Boss engineering down south.With the cost of the convos and tyres diff etc beetween 4-4600.It will only give me another 1 1/2 inches of rim so i mite put the other ones on.I think their called auto drag or somethin.reckon i can put an 8 inch rim with 236/60s

I cut down and shorted my diff my self and got my axels done through Boss automotive, i later found out he gets them done at slider engineering at pooraka

i spoke to boss last year about getting a VN diff shortened to fit a torana and he told me that he sends all that kind of work to rodtech in adelaide, i wonder if hes changed contractors?

Yer i think he has changed contractors, as he was telling me the guy he used to use is starting to get unreliable in regards to getting the job done

I think he used to use donegal engineering down at lonsdale.

Rod tech do all sorts of diff conversion fabrication, wheel tubs etc, but pretty sure no maching

re-diff shortening,you must remember when modifying any mass produced part that there is a special process involved. it includes heat disstortion hardening & tempering of the used item.do it yourself and see if it works. you'll find out how much you really want to do this so called diff modifiction(s).i once use to straighten and rebuild diffs/ gearboxes for aliving. old veteran of the street car scene(legal v8 cortina still lives).
