My most memorable drag car is from back in the early 90,s. It was a 55 chev called forced entry, used to launch real hard and carry the front wheels a third of the way down the 1/4. Awesome! as for street cars, litre8 comes pretty close to my ultimate, and a red 68 camaro from the states called big red, it was basically a road going race car.very tuff stuff.

mine was a 27 ford custom, painted bright purple... I saw it at torquey in melbourne.
350 donk and white leather interior.. full autometre gauge series in the dash... so so sexy...

i reckon the twin engined ute back in the eighties was a pearler.

who owned it? no idea
how did it run? still no idea

i'd really like to know how the running gear in this thing was connected.

whoops. should give something, i suppose.

it was a HQ or something and had a 253 under the bonnet and a 350 chev in the tray.
somehow, both engines could drive the car. that's the quandry

could it have been a 4 wheel drive set-up? 253 runs front and the 350 runs the back, maybe?

no

it was a rear wheel drive setup

there was sonething about a transaxle in there, but the 253 must have been connected to the 350 somehow.

it may have just been a tailshaft connection, but i doubt it

Hey wabs , that ute was called blobak, owned by a guy called alan cooper i think. I,m pretty sure it had a cadillac transaxle in the rear, with the 253 hooked straight to the harmonic balancer/ crankshaft of the blown 350.From memory it was also on straight gas.cheers

Spot on Tombstone, from memory the 253 acted like a giant starter motor for the chev or something to that effect apparently!
