no, but they do get bad rash if you strip them and leave em out for too long

you will, of course, need a remote which pops open the doors.
you need to be able to open them from inside without the remote,
and if your battery goes flat, you're farked. Unless you have some kind of generator to jump-start the engine.

ye u need solanoids to pop open doors and dual battery setup jus in case yur primary one goes flat. my mates got shaved door handles on his vu ss ute. was thinking my tonner would look good as theres not much if any old tonners around wiv the shaved door handles and that. also was thinking bout air bagging cause i wana get it lowered sum mor but but at the same time dnt wana give up its ride comfort jus for looks. i got king spring ultra lows and koni adjustable shortened shocks, h/duty camber kit in my commy and it still rides too hard. air bags u can hav yur cake and eat it too.

It shouldn't really be hard. Placing the air compressor and tank on the tray may be a bit of a drama... these things weren't built to survive rain you know.

hay gas84k let us know how u go and whats involved, im pretty keen on doing this, as you can pump them up when yur gota load on the back and then dump it when yur cruising or parked up. i herd leaf spring setups are easier to air bag than irs setip. oh and post up sum pix of yur sound system setup.

Default shaved handles

HJTunr I looked into the shaved handles for South Australia and was told I would need a mechanical Override to open the door in a emergency. Defeats the purpose for thiefs. Also planning for new sound system.

HJ your going to have to look into the shaved door handles, but like abbey said above I m pretty sure that you need to have a manual over ride on the outside, most of the ones I have seen have basically what looks like a normal door lock (well old holden ones) basically on the outside of the window but using what looks like a bullet tip protuding out. The rounded tip is pushed down to disenguage the door lock.

Probably wouldnt be much to the job but quite alot of fiddling round getting the little bits and pieces sorted out.
