if u really wanna trick it out in the boot, jus draw up ur own designs ie 3 or so. take it to an install place and ask how hard it would be to knock it up. if u end up doin it urself, try and get sum practice with a router and jigsaw. also remember that butt joints in sub boxes don't last

generally you would design your boot install around your chosen equipment and subs as they dictate what room is needed for them .
ie: different subs require different amounts of air ( box size ) to make em work.
so ya cant really design a boot install first and add subs and amps etc etc later .otherwise it will end up looking like crap.
what do you want to put in ya boot subs, amps, batteries, etc etc
and where would u like to put em .
once you work that out then one can design a boot install
if ya want i got a program here that can estimate different box shapes and design's for any given sub if you provide me with the subs specs..
but bear in mind i have to help vkdesire first ive been overly slack/busy but if you supply me with you sub's specs i will see what i can do for ya if you want..
regards
jerome

don't forget to check if the subs can go into a fully sealed box. It's a pain to seal but you can get away with a much smaller box. If the destructions that came with the sub don't have a fully sealed box literage then prob best not to go that way.

smaller boxes wil make it easier to place the subs in different configurations.

how much work do you want to do? there isnt realy a limit. if your intrested i made my own boot inclosure on my celica, housed my amp, inverter, PC, subs and had a parcel shelf with 6x9s to cover it all in parking lots. i solt it though, lost intrest in the whole rice thing thank god! its here if anyone wants to check it out though (and i even kept my spair tyre (2nd page))http://www.geocities.com/phobos0001/ver2p1.html

i think you could make a pretty nice box from fibreglass in the corner using the foil/tape method. im not too sure on your fabrication skills but there are lote of tips on mp3car.com's fabrication section i think they might even have a few commodores for inspiration.

cheers for the kind words st8tsman 2bt,
very simple, but tricky at the same time....

i made the whole thing with chipboard, it diddnt cost much at all the floating floor was the easy part...

if you held the floor on the side it was a U-shape, i made a box without a floor and bolted brackets to the inside of the box, they where secured with right angled steel and i used tek-screws from the underside of the car, a little tricky to mark out but it is very secure and removable if need be. it took quite a few weekends and a lot of careful measureing but i think it was worth it. for templates i used rijid cardboard to get the shape of the boot's side pannels, then just traced them out onto the chipboard and went away with the jigsaw, made it all fit nicely then took a plane to the edjes to allow for the carpeting, then its done. if ya want more info or similar projects theres plenty of inspiriation on mp3car.com those guys are pretty helpful, but are not fond of "spoonfeeding noobies" so have a search around im sure there would be a few commies amongst the installs there

to give ya in idea of cost i spend about $200ish including the carpting, then another 600ish on the sound system (mates rates and hand-me-downs) all labour done by me, my old man and upholstery done by my mother (she makes pelmets and stuff so it was a breeze for her) wasnt too bad of a car for someone in my financial position if your into that kind of thing i guess, im just glad i dropped the ricer thing and got myself an 8

feel free to PM\email me if you want specifics or anything
