Default Power aerial

Just wondering if anyone knew how to get the power aerial to stay down when running a CD / Ipod off the deck?

At the moment it is just constantly up with the power on, on my old deck it would only go up when the radio was on.

Any help would be appreciated

installed by audiocom , guess the real question is if it's the pioneer deck default or can it be wired up to only put the aerial up when the radio is on

my alpine deck does it,would not have a clue why yours doesn't,thats the little things you gotta look out for when buying a deck.

I have a Pioneer MP3 deck in the tunna and ive recently put in a power antenna. It seems they stay up with the power on no matter if they are in 'CD' mode or 'Tuner' mode.

Ive installed a toggle switch into the remote antenna line so i can flick the aerial up or down whenever i want.

thats a good idea about the switch, annoys me so much having the aerial up all the time...

got a email back from pioneer and they said it's just how the deck works. so the switch will be the go!

my arial goes down with a cd in, and its pioneer.

unfortunately its bent though and stays up about 7 inches and goes click click click...

its annoying, but i live with it.

Theres all these setting in the pioneer decks that i know nothing about, when you hold the buttons for different options, all japanese to me, there must be an option somewhere for it to go down with CD mode.
Unfortunately the deck was in the ute when i bought it so theres no instructions.

the switch is the best option because it stays fully extended other wise and with the switch you need to turn it on everytym you turn the radio on or you get really bad reception or at least that is my experence
