Scott,

You are say it is an D300E?? yet you say USA in the same sentence.

Does it have a letter after the number on the model on the HU/ Screen surround?? also does it hav the little satelitte logo for the XM radio?? on the screen as well??

If it is any of these it will be a USA model and all of ALPINES models that do not have a letter after the last Number are Americian models and are NTSC ONLY --- will not PLAY PAL -- well they will if you can change the regional setting... which is via FIRMWARE or in your case it is an IC CHANGE ......but here is the HUGE!!!!!!! HUGE!!!! problem, alpine have EPOXIED these to the PCB!!!! so they can not be removed... so afraid to say you are STUFFED!!! if it was a D310E or W200E or D100E etc then we could have loaded the firmware for you!!!

We do have the firmware for the other models

Cheers
Send us a photo of the screen if you wish for us to identify it though the model will be on the HU! on the case... where the manufacturing details and wiring codes are..... also the region code should be there as well it will be a little blue globe sticker about 10mm square and have either a number on it or the word "all" though with you violation it is not going to have all or 4
