Cool What you think

I need to get more bass in the ute so i got a spare 12`` sony explode sub sitting in the spare room. Any ideas as to wot i should pay for someone to fit it in the ute ?And with a 12inch sub in a ute. how is it for bass, my thought is you wouldnt be able to have it too loud without busting you ears ? never heard/seen 1 in a ute b4..
cheers guys/gals.

my mate has 2 12" subs in his spare wheel well then ported it into the cab
shitloads of bass but it depends on your taste
i doubt one sony xplod sub would be enough to hurt your ears.

also depends where its positioned.. itll be loud if there isnt anything in front of it but because its a ute it would probably have to go behind the seat? yeah?

dunno.

sell the subs and buy 2 alpine bass engines, they will fit under you seats no worries and you just plug them up to your amp.

if you could sell your sony subs i would buy 1 or 2 8" subs, make your own sealed sub box out of mdf to fit behind the seats and a small amp to run them. if you could do the work yourself you could get away with it for probably under $400-$450 and it would sound decent

one of my mates back in highschool days had a vs ute with a single 10" between the seats.. sounded quite nice.

i had a Cadence 10" in my nissan and that thing was LOUD.. i'd suggest getting rid of the xplod (sony make great house audio products, but ive had nothing but disappointment from their automotive stuff) and i'd recommend a cadence unit between your seats.. can be nice when you're just bopping along but when you want the world to hear it they work extremely well

well you could start by not using a sony xplode sub that might help go out to wow site and sound and buy a decent sub.. posibly kicker or clarion.. or even better get a apline sub, or bass engines (get one designed for a ute)

Yeh wasnt going to use the sony 12inch, i got 2x 12inch pioneer subs in the vs commy i was going to swapp over. I went and had alook at audiocom Ih8_fpv, they had the same sub that is pictured in your post there. **** they are slim!

Got a quote to get 1 of those a custom box to fit behind the seat (full movement) deck fitted amp to run it all wired up and installed for $1150. Parts and labour. I already have a deck but i want a tv/dvd screen for the ute seeing as it has all that space. The otherhalf doesnt need to know they make a frame to fit smaller decks.

"No honey, our deck wont fit, we need a bigger one something like the lcd screens"

=)
