I'm curious as to what setup people recommend for my senator i want a double din screen for the head unit and retain the stacker in the boot I don't like Sony and I don't want any gaps around the head unit.
So does any one have any suggestions? model number and brand if possible |

you wont be able to retain the stacker in the boot.. they are pretty much a holden/eurovox thing.
alpine have two (i think) double din units, but they are pricey. kenwood have a large double din lineup or with $1500 you can get the alpine W202E (i think thats the model?)

i really like that head unit thats about wat i was expecting for a headunit anyways is there any other suggestions.
the head unit is $1000 online or $1500 from stereo dealers or $700 if you know who to speak to please don't forget speakers (four doors, dash and parcel tray) wats the reason the stacker couldn't be incorporated? also if it means any thing the car has the premium sound option from the factory Last edited by paterson02; 03-06-2008 at 08:45 PM. |

the stacker has an interface cable that only would plug into the head unit it was designed for.
Speakers, I like the yellow pioneer comp series, but they are pricey? fronts (door & dash), TS-C160R Splits back doors, TS-161R as for the parcel shelf, i would use TS-D691R 6x9s powered by a neat little amp. that would be my ideal setup... but im sure others will have some more ideas.

hey mate if there anything like my vt senator in the rear parcel shelf there is two 8inch subs. As for the head unit me and you are in the same boat lol ive been looking at double din dvd players which are around the $800 mark. From what i have found there is no way of keeping the cd changer with an aftermarket cd player but then again new head units are all mp3 capable so really whats the point when you can fit like 200 songs on one cd. Also have you thought about whether you wanna keep the steering wheel controls? cause for this you will also need a steering wheel control interface which vary in price between $150- $200 Hope this helps any other questions shoot me a pm.

thanx for that so my understanding is that it uses the ir interface of the headunit after converting the signal is there any similar setup that uses a wired connection rather than ir or is that just a dream scenario?

with the ts-c160r speakers what would be the best way to install in the car
1.rewire by cuttin into the loom to install the crossover or 2.would there be a factory crossover for the tweeters in dash that is simply replaceable? |
