Question Changing head unit in BA?

The standard head unit in my ute skips even on new CD's. Has anyone heard of someone changing the head unit and manage to interface it with the controls. I've been told you can't do this. There is no such word as can't. Any help would be appreciated.

Yeah take it from me, i'm doing a car audio course at TAFE, The word is, changing a head unit in a BA is practically impossible, pretty much all you can do is improve on the sound system, speakers, amps and subs etc.

it is possible and can be effective, i have seen it done many times.
an adaptor can be brought to suit aftermarket headunits that use remotes so you can use your steering wheel controls...

or a stacker behind the seats...

Thanks for the info. Hadn't even thought about a stacker, might be the way to go. I'm not looking to spend a lot just tired of the skipping. Rather spend the money on brakes.
