Default custom sub box for vs ute

ive got myself a nice pioneer slimline sub that im wanting to put into my cabin as i have plans for the spare cell under the tray in the back. ive seen people build boxes that go in between the seats and i was just wondering if anybody that has done it before still have the measurements from when they built theirs so that i can use it as a basic guide to go off for building mine. cheers

that goes in where he has plans for.
i know what you mean stkgem, my spare bit becide the tank has a second battery, and computer in it...
when i was looking to buy my VS, the first one i looked at had a pioneer slim in a box behind the drivers seat where the jack normally is.
i hated it and got him to pull it out as the seat had to be forward (I'm 6 foot 4) and need the seat to be fully back.
so you could put it behind the passenger seat?

i have already looked into getting the slimline boxes that go behind the seats but personally it just doesnt do it for me; and that most of my mates are over 6 foot like myself and they always move the seat as far back as possible. atm my 800w monoblock amp is sitting down behind the passenger seat

you say a box to go in between the seats.. where do you mean? as in where the console is? (or the middle seat in a three seater)

the bass is wanted inside the cab, you cant hear anything when its in the tray, pretty much the only time you can hear it is when you are stopped at the traffic lights with no cover on, and your windows down.

thats why u port it into the tray. behind the passenger seat, there is a 4" (roughly) hole that goes thru to the area beside the fuel tank, which is where people put the subs box usually. u run a pipe from that hole to a port hole in the side on the box, and presto, there is your bass

on another note, holey shit that box on ebay is expensive... ive got one sitting here that i was gonna put in my ute but i didnt pay anywhere near that for it

but that wouldnt work if it was in the cargo area of the tray. (unless of course you cut a hole through the plate above the fuel tank and port it through that)

yeah, i laughed when i saw it a few weeks ago while looking for crap for my pos

when i say box between the seats i literally mean between the seats. im going to mount itwhere the back rest of the middle seat would be just above where the console lid is and have it all laid out so that i can still open my console fully. and about the spare cell in the back, im only saying it once more, i have plans for that area and that 'spare cell' isnt going to be spare for much longer

i have an 8inch slimline that is 500w/125rms. i did all my research and this pioneer sub will pump the hardest for what im looking for. the spare cell will most likely hold a decent size serge tank and my battery once i relocate it.
