Default Sub In Seat??

Hey all im an owner of a Vk Calais which i have resently put on gas.
I intend on turning it into a nice cruser and want a pritty nice sound system in it..
As there is no room in the boot to put a sub and illegel to have it in the parcel shelf im thinking about putting the sub in the back of the seat..
So when u fold down the arm rest in the middle u will see a bit of the face of the sub..
I only intend on puttin a 10inch in it..
Wondering what will be needed to done with the seat to keep the sub in place..
i have a spear seat if all goes wrong..
Any comments would be helpfull
Cheers

just a note mate: there is a section for questions about sound systems under ''rythm & bass" i think you'll find this threadll get moved there soon by a mod.

mmm... you'll need a free-air baffle sub (ie sub that doesnt need a box) and just screw if to the back of the seat. you might need to put some form of spacer in. i'll see if i can draw you some kind of diagram.

if your open to suggestion, you'll find putting a flush mount subbie under your seat alot easier and sound better

something like this:

Talking

Thanks that has helped heaps..I thought about under the seat, i was curious if u would still get the good sound or would it be muffeled..also might feel a bit funny for the back seat ridders with vibration under there bums lol..
I had no idea there were flat subs like u showed and i think thats the option ill take..
I dont mind if i have to cut into the back seat in anyway as long as you can see were ive cut..(as i have a spear seat)
also i only want little subs as the big ones cause two much vibration on the old Vk..Which for all u Commodore owners will no about

i'm just going off a brochure i have here at work, dont think they're on the jvc site yet, but i have heard one going and i can tell you that they put out some juice i can get 'em in, and i'll do silly prices for members since i dont stock 'em. (just PM me)
mods: if this is 'illegal' advertising... feel free to remove.

hey hombz,
i didnt know they made em like that, as ss fifty said... they will be good to compair to the pioneer... cos the pioneer shallow mount subs are still too deep for behind the seat of a VS ute when it comes along.. i shall keep an eye out for them

they actually sound really awesome (well considering what they are) considering putting one in the missus' car (convertible... noooooo room!)

mind you the alpine one is fkn insane (but costs heaps as well!)

Alpine is a SWE-1000 and JVC is a CS-BB2. Alpine RRP $499 and JVC RRP $249. I sell the JVC for $159 (+p&h)... they're a bastard to get ahold of though... not many come into australia.

that help??

cant get my claws on alpine unfortunately (i'm tryin though!) but the JVC weighs around 2.1kg + packaging n sh!t.

i have heard one going... for a little sub they go hard. just dont expect it to do the same as yer ricer mate's twin 12'' setup... as some people seem to think it should. REMEMBER: ya get what you pay for in the end.
