Post Amp To Run Splits & Sub Wb Ute

gday fellas. I want to install some splits in my ute, along with a sub. Ive got 2 10" pinoneer 700W sitting in my room doing nothing. Is there an amp that will pun the splits and the 2 subs. If not should i just run the splits and i sub. Any other suggestions for an install in the ute. Ive created some room behind the seats.
cheers

Alpine digital 4 channel PDX amp,150 w rms

So ya can run the subs on the other 2 channels

Basically any 4 channel amp will do your job mate.

Cheers mate. so ive got 2 channels running the two subs and the other two running the splits. Do you think one sub would be enough for a ute. So i could bridge two chennels together and feed that grunt to the sub. Or not???
im not really car audio minded sorry.
cheers

i reakon you'd only need one subbie in your ute, that way you'd have a better chance of running the sub closer to its recomended wattage, 2 700 watt subbies out of the biggest 4 channel amp would probably overdraw it...(really expensive amps exluded) one subbie bridged would be alot more efficient. if your running a pioneer subbie try and stick with them for thier amp and splits... they make a good product for the money you pay. the gm 6300 mf is a good one. my personal recomendation is to run a mono/2ch amp purely for your sub, and run the splits off the deck or another amp...

thanks HOMBZ. i had a pair of pioneer splits but the sh*t them selves. I wasn't happy. Any way im just try to keep the cost down so thats why i was keen on one amp. Is an amp really neccesary for the splits.

bridge 2 channels of the amp to runs both your subs that you have wired in parrallel but make sure your amp will take a 2ohm load otherwise you will burn it,

if your subs a dual voice coil you will have to wire thecoil's of each sub in series before you can wire them to the amp in parrallel. reason for doing this is if you have dual voice coils when they are wired in series they will present a load of 8ohms so by doing this then wiring the 2 subs to the amp in parrallel you will be presenting the amp with a 4ohm load which it will be happy with
Quote:
Speakers in Parallel

Parallel wiring has the opposite effect of series wiring – load impedance drops when speakers are wired in this fashion. And the more speakers you wire in, the lower the impedance. The most common reason for wanting to lower impedance is to raise acoustical output. Speaker output increases because the amplifier's power output rises as the load impedance decreases.
The number of speakers that can be connected in parallel is limited by the minimum load impedance that the amplifier is capable of driving and the power-handling capacity of the speakers. In most cases, load impedance should be held to a minimum of 2 ohms – provided the amplifier can handle impedances that low.
Figure 2A shows how to wire a pair of speakers in parallel. A wire from the positive terminal of one channel of the amp is wired to the positive terminals on speakers A and B. (The simplest way to do this is to run a wire from the amp terminal to Speaker A and then run a second wire from that terminal to Speaker B.) Then the negative terminal of the same amp channel is wired in like fashion to the negative terminals on both speakers. The second channel is wired the same way.

WB5LTR what are the actual subs you have, what model are they it is very easy to do what you want but some actual model numbers will make it that little bit easier to guide you.

corty, there pioneer 10" TS-W255C, Ive had em a few years but there still brand new. Im thinking 1 subby will be enough for me. I dont crank it that hard anyway. Plus i like the space i have behind the seats and if i have 2 subs, the space will be throw to the sh*thouse. Im thinking a 4 channel amp with 2 channels bridged to run the sub and the other 2 to run my splits. Any recommendations on goo value for money 6 or 6.5" splits??

why dont you run the splits off your deck then just get a 2ch amp and bridge it?? get you some decent sound and keep the $$ in the bank

jvc make some pretty nice splits... or else kenwood... just avoid sony (i actually used to sell sony, and can tell you they're not worth the package they come in)
