Default bridging dual coil sub

hey guys, i asking you because i not to sure with amps and subs. i got a Alpine Type X SWX-1242D 1000WRMS 12" Subwoofer the other day and i want to put in my car. i already have a V12 1000rms 4 channel amp from last sub i want to use. i know you can not bridge all into one but i have been told i could bridge 2 channels to one dual coil and other 2 to the other dual coil. any help would be good if not i will be selling my new sub. thanks

you probably could... but i wouldnt suggest it. there seems room for all kinds of problems... like matching the gain, if your not putting the exactly the same power through two connected coils..... see? seriously consider keeping the amp for your internal speakers and getting a nice big mono to run the subbie (the PDX1100 is a goodly one)

defenantly won't be the best option,seeming channels 1 and 2 have different tuning frames to channels 3 and 4,you'll get a wierd sound,i second hombz choice on amps,the Digital PDX Amp has nothing against it,defenantly a power package,an amp that i am buying myself.

thanks guys, people i have talked to are giving me mixed advice, one saying its a bit messy and other saying its the best option. i am going think about first. i can get 2x500wrms rockford fosgate subs off a mate alot cheaper then buy a new amp. i might wait till the weekend, when i have sometime to do something about
