which scoop is preferred by the boys in blue and seen as more "legal"
im leaning towards a cowl scoop anyway, mainly due to the rounded nature of the front of them etc I keep picturing a figure from i think was the RTA website of a ball/cylinder being rolled and isnt to catch any sharp edges... its hard to describe and im trying not to confuse myself here let alone anyone else.... simple question is what would most likely satisfy the boys on blue??

Cowl scoop would be easier as the point of contact at the front is almost nothing compared to a scoop. There are limits on cowls however. The rear opening musnt be over a certain size.
As for the wheel - its a 65mm diameter wheel with a cross drawn on it (evenly). You rest the vertical line with your bonnet and no scoop may be above the horizontal line. Theres a picture on the website if you dont understand. |

A cowl scoop would be the best. I can't find anything on the NSW RTA site but here's one from Victoria. I can only presume they would be the same as you are required to comply with the ADR'S as well.
