I think something similar to this was posted recently but i cant find it so heres the story.
On a recent interstate trip i copped a speeding fine (coz the pricks changed the speed limit since the last time i was there!) which obviously will attract demerit points. So what im wondering is, since its an interstate fine, will the points come off my license in the state in which i hold my license, or only in the state the offence was commited in or every state? Im not concerned about losing my license coz i havent had a fine of any sort in years, just curious thats all.

As far as I know, they are supposed to, but I haven't seen it yet. The closest I've come to anything like that is a drink driving prior conviction recorded in Victoria from NSW.
You can check your points by calling Vic Roads (numbers on the back of your licence) ( 131171). Follow the prompts and you will find out if they have been allocated. Let me know. I'm curious. doc

I know its been a bit longer than a week or two doc but i just checked again and i do have 1 demerit point so yep, the points definitely do apply interstate. Oh well, 1 down, hopefully not 11 to go!
