Hi Guys,
First post, I'm not very knowledgeable in car related matters, but I recently purchased a 1974 Jaguar with a Chev 327 running on LPG. I bought the car from Victoria with an Engineers Certificate. However, i've recently been told that interstate engineers certificates aren't valid in NSW and so I need to get a new NSW one for blueslip. Is this true? I've never gotten an engineers certificate so I'd like to know how much they cost on average... what do they actually certify? And who do I get to do them? I live in Sydney (inner west) so if you can recommend anyone that'd be appreciated. Evan |

That's a very common conversion and one that is easily certified. I've heard varying reports from NSW about accepting/not accepting interstate certificates.
Did you check with the RTA? Or were you just told by someone? If they're anything like VicRoads, you ask the same question 3 times and get 3 different answers. Someone on the forum will be able to put you in contact with a local engineer. It may take only a phone call or could be more. I've heard a basic check could be about $400 but could be more. doc
