Adult Shop? - Aussie V8 | Holden - Ford

Okay this will sound weird... very weird.
But are minors (U18) legally allowed into an adult shop? clubX type thing?
or is it a restriction put on by the owner themselves?

for the record, my friend is having a "pimps n hoes" party, and a few of the girls want to go find a costume.. but scared of the legality's of walking into the shop.

Just tell them to go in and have a look, I can't see the shop owners chasing paying customers out of the store no matter what their age is.

in answer..no minors are not allowed

its becoz the product on display (CDs DVDs books ) can only be displayed
in a place where minors are not allowed..restricted premises if u like

the fact the underagers wanna check out a costume or a vibrator
(which are not restricted items believe it or not) and NOT the
restricted 18+ DVDs means nothing

anyway... i would suggest they go to a party hire shop
coz they are more likely to have more variety of 'ho type costumes

^^^^^ As far as I know what Smitty said. A costume shop would probably have more of a range anyway.

hey mate one of my old mates parents used to own a shop and what the guys said is rite... if they walk in there they can be asked to leave.

and they wont be able to buy anything anyways unless they are of age.

Mate u got nothing to worry about hey. I used to go in adult shops when I was 17 and im 19 now and still go in with no worrys at all... I dont look my age but much younger but it could be the place I live in. Bloody brothels everywhere... not that thats a bad thing
