Default burnouts on own property

hypothetical situation: doing burnouts on own driveway, a cop and a council worker walk past, which one (if either of them) is gonna give me the fine?

hypotheticaly would you be behind your mailbox? or on council land?
if its council land then the cop will do ya, if its behind the mailbox council probably would do you for noise violations.

as far as i know, niether of them can do anything UNLESS u r causing a disturbance of some sort, even if it is on ur own property.

hypothetically yes, i would be behind the council boundary
and yeh would be noisy so it probaly would cause a disturbance (where i am not really on 8.5 acres, but no bitumen or concrete to do it on)

they can do you if you are not in an enclosed space... your property or not, if it is not gated off the cops will do you for it because there is a risk of damage to people. as for the council, you can make noise from 7am till 7pm, burnouts may be another matter though...

EPA could do you.
however you did say no bitumen or concrete... so that shouldn't apply
i like grass burnouts better anyway, "powerslides" in an ecotec lol
maybe thats because I'm pretty sht on the bitumen.

for the record, burnouts are dangerous, and should only be done under controlled conditions.. including off public land

back in nz at my cuzns pad up norf the main road goes right by his house and that which is in a big paddock, anyways they were upgrading the road with new bitumen and they had a few truck loads excess of the stuff so fora couply cartens they dumped the ecess black stuff there in his paddock and then we made a good solid burn out pad. and theres bit of a drift unit in the back and side of the paddock azwel, anyhows we got a few paddock thrashers, mines a toyota corolla wagon, 4 speed manual with v8 radiator and twin thermoes and home made roll cage and 3 difrent colour doors, its called the b;ue angels and it rips. cops amd heaps of holiday goes always stop on the side of the main road and take pix and vids and beep there horns or giva wave when they drive past, the best fun ever.

we experienced this in SA- at a mates party we had the shed out the back. back your car in, blow a tyre or two then next person. this lasted a fair while- then cops came and said if they dont stop they'll call the EPA, who could fine everyone, then defect each and every car at the party... all ended up ok tho

From someone who knows - Private property or not, undue noise and smoke is an offence. Besides, the cops will usually just get you for something else even if the private property thing was in your favour.

Thank god it's just hypothetical question. Why on earth would you want to perform such a stupid act anyway? I would be suprised if the EPA and the local authories weren't beating down your door with fines relating to air and noise pollution....

It's funny you should comment on pollution because that's all I've seen coming from you since you've been here. Have a nice life pal.
