Default Dose parole + hoon Laws = pokie

Got Another Q for ya Doc. Talked to a mate of mine on the net last night lives in Sydney and he got done for giving this guy a run off the lights.

Didn’t get done for speeding however they got him on hoon laws ..

they have taken his car off him for 3 months 1st offence ( i thought it was 3 days 1st and 2 time 3 months maybe u can clear that one up for me to) anyway he’s got court in April,

But here is the thing he is on supervised parole and the guy is shiting himself that it might be a parole violation and he will be made to serve the rest of his sentence ..

Do you think this is a good possibility or because its a totally different type of thing he got done for originally he might be in with a chance?

Or is he FUBAR ?

Obviously I'm not Doc, but this just happened to a friend of mine, same situation, he's out on parole and he did a skid, got caught, they've taken the car off him for 3 months (I'm pretty sure its 3 month impound for first offence, confiscation on second offence) and it hasn't affected his parole.

Good luck with it all mate.

I doubt whether he would be breached. He is obviously on parole for a fairly serious offence. In Vic, a traffic offence wouldn't breach it.

But on the other hand, if a traffic offence is likely to bring jail time, im sure the parole board will be interested. And there are plenty of traffic scenarios that see people locked up.
