Doc/Mark,
Are ANY of the police V8 commodores leather? we buy all our cars from fowles, however we are now in the market (as we have been for a while) for a new car for ouselves, we currently have a WH V8 Statesman. We need a V8 (tow the boat), and dad wont buy anything without leather. Because the only V8's at fowles are cop cars (generally speaking) im doubting anything will satisfy our/dad's needs? Cheers. Jase.

Not that I know of. All the SS commos at our work are cloth. I've never seen leather in a police car. We would wreck it with out equipment I reckon.

thats where i see your point, however, my experiance with leather tells me that leather is a much much more durable option, yes it scratches, (like the rubber door seal, the two ex-police cars we have owned in the past few years have had major wear where the gun-belt scratches agains the door seal) however, for the 50,000k or there abouts that the police have them, the cloth wouldnt have enough damage to warrant the need for leather's duribility?
anyhow, yeah the statey is the other option, however due to their rarity, and the fact that they are statesmans, they are so much more $$ but that answers my question thansk mark... another quick question(s), no police cars are manuals anymore are they? and is it true the mechanics disable the ABS, for quicker stopping for the trained tmu officers? cheers.

i think your maaaate is either talking shit or has been had by someone, no cop car would ever have leather and a sunroof. its likelt that its not a cop car, or someone has done those mods to it at a later date. as far as i know the vt ss never had a leather option, it was first introduced in the vx ss

Ill ask Doc if it’s ok if i post it on here.

As Promised unmarked cop car. Saw this guy in the ute get pulled over by the sub about 2 weeks ago and thought i really needed to take a pic of the car the boyz were driving,,, fully kitted out with lights under the grill and all the rest. So if someone told u there subie was a x cop car you would be hard pressed to believe that even more then having a sun roof.
