just wondering if a vy ss say ute is legal on ur P plates..

as im from ur area eltham police seem not to pull over vy ss utes on P plates..
as there a 5.7L i find it hard to see how you can drive them on P plates.

LS1 pwrd cars never been legal in Vic for P Platers

even VTII with the original 225kw engine was way out of the ball park..re pwr/wght ratio. Later 235 and 245kw engines even more so and I am talking about sedan versions. Utes are lighter so forget it.

I think you'll be surprised how many P platers are pulled up for driving the high powered vehicles, even in Eltham. Obviously you haven't been around when it's happened.

No it's not legal for a VY SS to be driven on P's although I'm aware of one in the area that has an exemption for work. He pushes the limit at times. We know he's not using it for work but try to prove it. It's a family business so very hard to prove.

ohh ok thanks... also i no most of you eltham guys like ur V8s well you and Jones. I noticed that you tend not to like turbo cars all that much as I cant drive past without getting pulled over although Jones does drive a XR6 Turbo I no his own car is a SS.. Also i dont no if u no that there are 2 guys around bonds road area, both of them are on P Plates and one drives a VY Maloo other drives a VE Clubsport.. just a bit annoying to see as I get pulled over obviously more than they do and sometimes they try get me on high powered car and my engine is 3 times smaller.

So you know Jonesy? He doesn't care if you're in an 8 or a turbo. His own car is a actually a 4 cylinder, not an SS. Only at work. I normally drive the marked SS but occasionally the XR.

Yeh i no Jones and Bradshaw and there is another guy who has pulled me up like 3 times now. I try stay away as much as I can but doesnt always help as i get pulled over even if I am doing 10 under the speed limit. Havnt been pulled over by you yet which is probly good but i have seen u around as im not always in my car as it cost to much on petrol and dont want to get pulled over. I just dont understand if they have pulled me up before why they do it again like 3 weeks later. And i thought Jones drove a SS as his own car think a burn orange one must be mistaken for someone else..

Lets see, your young, obviously drive a modified ricer, probably live near Bonds rd, and have been pulled over a bit, maybe theres a photo of your car on the chasers dash.

Take it on the chin mate, unfortunately thats the game you play for having a modified car. Youd probably want to hope your cars within spec, the epa can and will be a lot worse than the locals!!! You dont mention being fined so maybe your just interesting to talk to!

Maybe a colour change and new wheels are in order. Cheers

haha change in colour might help and i have been to the epa and passed and they still pull me over but i guess i have to get used to it im not that young but still on P plates soon as im off them time for a change of car i think. I dont mind getting pulled over when they are nice which most of the eltham police are only one that wasnt and I havnt seen him for a while, I also havnt been pulled over by dr legal before. and bonds rd is more lower plenty i think than eltham i think..
