Default tinted taillights

Iv'e seen this spray-on stuff called VHT night shade, for blacking out taillights. on the package, it says 'for offroad use only'
is this so? what else could i use?

Not sure about QLD but its illegal here in NSW to tint your tails at all, no matter what you use.

I prefer to let my timeslips do the talking.

And steer clear of the tinting spray. They are illegal and look like poo anyway as they have a matte/textured finish.

You're best bet would be to look for a total replacement lense that is darker than standard (if available). I'm currently looking for a set of VZ calais tailights for my berlina as they are darker than the standard berlina lights.

Really you'll end up looking like the 1000s of riced commy's you usually find in high school parking lots.

Remember this is "Questions for the boys in blue" not "Tell me what I'm thinking of doing to my car is rice"

I'm all for healthy debate, but keep it in the members section not here

anyday i'd have a fast car, but p plate laws wont allow

also, if i sprayed a high-gloss clear over the tinting spray, would it get rid of the matte finish?

Even high 10's is pretty ambitious so don't get too far ahead of yourself there fella. Concentrate on getting your license before you go worrying about what times you'll pull.

Anyway, most guys chasing 10's don't care what their tail lights look like. It'll be the guy they are racing that should be looking at the lights

Ugh, you missed my point dude. Yes I agree in healthy debate and the whole "each to his/her own" thing.... but my point is if you wanna discuss opinions and such then do it the members lounge. If you want to ask if something is legal, you ask it here. Otherwise this section gets filled up with junk
