All the info is in the link - the cruise is Holdens only but there is a display open to the public after. I'm hoping to make a day trip from Nelson (4 hours plus each way) for the event...

Was a great day, weather held up and I'm glad I made the trip to see all the awesome cars. I think the official number was 233 cars, and it was great to see quite a number of older vehicles too.

I went on the Auckland/Commodore Car Club Brock cruise. The organisers said there were 1200 cars registered but the weather was a bit crappy & not all of them turned out... thank god! It was huge anyway. There were all sorts there, RX7's, a couple of Mustangs, some poor wet dudes in a T-bucket, but 95% were Holden & about 80% of them were Commodores. Was a good day, got a bit messed up on the way home at a mates; ended up doing burnouts outside his house.

Yeah there were quite a few cars that I've never seen before, guess they don't get out often. NZV8 had a one-page story on it last month too (with a pic of my car )

I think you meant this tongue in cheek, but the poor guy had a lot of people bagging him for it, but it's not like he cut up a classic or anything. It may not be everyone's cup of tea, but it is unique and he was there supporting a good cause and enjoying his car like the rest of us.
