This sounds like an exceptionally good idea. Have three problems though....

1. Whether the monthly payroll Gods smile on me Friday night (payday is Sunday, but 90% of the time they are fairly easy going when payday lands on the weekend)...

2. Have to pull the Quadrajet off Saturday morning and give it a birthday...

3. And whether the "Minister for finance and home affairs" is in an agreeable mood or not.

In a perfect world, the mysterious payroll people in Melbourne will push the button on Friday arvo, and the Quaddy would be off, cleaned, and back on by lunchtime Saturday (depending on Friday night's activities of course).

THEN, I could say, "Honey Pie, need to take the ute for a drive to test the carb, do you want to come?".

And, as Tiny said in the other thread, should go throught the M5 tunnels to get there. Geez I love that sound!!

Hang on, I'll just go check with the boss lady......

No, seriously it's a yes at this stage, unless something unforseen comes up with the Qjet. Otherwise, have to fuel the Astra up!!!!!!!!

No you are not. That's a paddlin'! :spank

As I said in the other thread, I'm hoping to be there. I never thought of pulling the carbie and then calling it a test drive. That's not a bad plan...

Cant wait.. should be a GREAT cruise!

By the way.. La-perouse is the destination, which is eastern suburbs. if you cant make it to the meet point at auburn ( 5PM).... try maybe catching us at La-perouse around 6ish! Cant say how long we'll stay... but there's no rush!

Looking forward to it... gotto get some video footage in the tunnels.. i swear though.. no camera does the sound of the chev justice at full throttle in the tunnel.... * goes to change undies*..

See you saturday!
